History, Flavors and Tradition
The “Vecchia Dogana” restaurant seats 50 in its welcoming dining room and 100 outside in one of the most beautiful squares in the historic center of Lazise, in the ancient parish church of San Nicolò dating back to 1200 and right next to the Venetian Customs House of Lazise.
The restaurant was founded in 1967 as a family business by Antonio Castellani and his wife Flavia. It was later managed by his nephew Stefano Tosi and his wife Giovanna. The restaurant is currently run by owner Vincenzo.
The menu offers a carefully selected selection of revisited traditional Italian dishes, with particular attention to raw materials and respect for the products and their seasonality.
The space, created from the renovation of an artisan workshop, includes a spacious room decorated with wooden beams and Renaissance-style frescoes; two large crystal chandeliers adorn the ceiling.
Our restaurant can also be booked for weddings and private events of any type throughout the year.
